September 2025Some exciting happenings on our construction site lately:
The new parking lot by St. Joseph Hall has been paved! The fresh pavement will be striped soon - weather permitting - and we look forward to opening more parking!
The first piers for the Parish Hall foundation are in progress. Holes are drilled down about 30 feet, lined with rebar, and filled with concrete to create a stable structure supporting the new building. There will be about 120 of these under the Hall!
As you can see in the video, these important structures received a special blessing. Fr. McDaniel also placed two Saint medals inside one of the piers:
- The Miraculous Medal of Our Lady, the patroness of the new Hall
- St. Hannibal di Francia, the "Apostle of the prayer for Vocations" (CLICK HERE to learn more about this wonderful saint)

Our Celebration Goal to Break Ground
• Retire $2.6 million Phase I construction debt
• Reach $8.2 million Diocesan funding requirement* of 65% of our project costs to begin construction on the Parish Hall and parking expansion

Our Challenge Goal to Fully Fund Our Project
• Raise remaining 35% of our construction costs to complete Parish Hall and expanded parking without taking on additional debt
*The Diocese of Fort Worth requires 65% of the total building project cost ($12.6 million) to be raised in cash and pledges before beginning construction. The remainder of our project cost can be financed as we continue to raise funds.

Our Journey to the New Campus

The road from Lewisville to our new Flower Mound campus is only a few miles, but it has taken years of prayer, planning, and construction to make the move. It also has taken the inspiring generosity of the people of St. Philip's.
Although challenges remain, we’re proud of what has been accomplished in a few short years (we have a beautiful new spiritual home!) and grateful that we’re in such a solid position to move forward.
We also give thanks for all of you, who have been awe-inspiring stewards of what God has given you. The parish has carefully stewarded the gifts you have shared with St. Philip, and we now have the opportunity to accomplish so much more!
We moved to a new campus to allow our parish to continue growing, and we are growing! Let us go forward together on our journey, praying for the guidance of the Holy Spirit in the next steps for our parish home.
