We do not have a set Mass for OCIA catechumens and candidates. If you have questions regarding the Mass please attend Mass with your parish mentor or set up a time to meet with the OCIA director. You may want to attend our next MASS 101 class.
Mass is one of the precepts of the Church and keeping holy the Sabbath is one of the 10 Commandments. To know the Mass, is to know the Faith!
BREAKING OPEN THE WORD - The reading of sacred scripture, especially the Sunday Mass readings is great OCIA preparation. There are set readings for each day of the year (please see module below). A slow reading of the scriptures as well as at least 15-30 minutes of meditation on the readings is recommended.
GOSPEL GUIDE - The Gospel Guide includes 149 Lessons on the Gospel separated into four categories focused on the Sunday readings. This is a great time for fellowship and growing in the Faith.
